Lloyd F. Reisman joined the firm in 2020 as Partner in the firm’s Transactional Department.
Mr. Reisman has extensive experience serving as general counsel to cooperative and condominium Boards throughout New York City. On a regular basis, Mr. Reisman provides legal advice and guidance on corporate governance matters, the negotiation and preparation of contracts for major capital improvements, professional services and other vendors, and the representation of cooperative boards in connection with the issuance and sale of previously unissued shares.
Mr. Reisman also has experience representing developers in connection with the preparation and filing of offering plans, including the sale and closing of luxury residential and commercial condominiums throughout New York City with a value in excess of $500,000,000. Mr. Reisman also has experience representing developers of condominiums and homeowners associations located in jurisdictions outside of New York in connection with New York registration applications in connection with offerings in excess of $1,000,000,000.
Mr. Reisman has also represented investors in connection with the purchase and sale of “unsold shares” in cooperatives and “unsold units” in condominiums, and has acted as special condominium counsel to some of the nation’s largest law firms and lending institutions in connection with condominium project financing. Mr. Reisman’s experience also includes representing owners in connection with the creation of “no-action” condominiums.
