Nitisha Bishnoi is a Partner of Belkin Burden & Goldman LLP.

Ms. Bishnoi joined the firm in 2022 as an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bishnoi litigated residential and commercial plenary actions, eviction proceedings, contract and construction disputes, and landlord-tenant disputes in the New York City Civil Courts and New York State Supreme Courts. She has successfully defended numerous administrative proceedings involving short-term rental and work without permit violations and represented buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. She also has experience in representing clients in matters involving business disputes, foreclosure and bankruptcy cases, and divorce and marital property distribution.

Ms. Bishnoi has won victories for clients through arbitration in construction and general contract disputes. She is an adept negotiator and has obtained favorable results for clients by settling disputes representing cooperatives and condominiums, shareholders and unit owners, and landlords and tenants in a broad range of matters.

Prior to joining Belkin Burden & Goldman, Nitisha has worked with litigation teams of prominent law firms in New York and India. She completed her first law degree (B.A.LL.B) with honors from one of India’s top ten law schools. After practicing in India for over two years, Nitisha attended the Georgetown University Law Center graduating with an LL.M degree and a certificate in international arbitration and dispute resolution. While attending Georgetown, she worked as a research assistant with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. As an Associate in India, Nitisha worked with prominent law firms on various high-profile real estate, commercial, civil and criminal litigation cases in trial and appellate courts and administrative tribunals across India.

Nitisha counsels clients on all phases of litigation including case strategy, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, trials and negotiated settlements in diverse real estate, civil and commercial litigation matters.
