Ryan Matthews is an Associate in the firm’s Administrative Law Department where he advises building owners and property managers on the evolving landscape of rent-regulation and affordable housing in New York City.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Matthews spent years litigating residential and commercial landlord-tenant proceedings before the courts of New York. He now uses that experience to practice before administrative agencies such as the State of New York Division of Housing and Community Renewal on rent-regulatory issues, and to conduct due diligence analysis of rent regulated buildings for current and potential owners.
Mr. Matthews earned his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development.
