New proposals recently released by the mayor’s Advisory Commission On Property Tax Reform could end up hurting New York home owners. Changes in the way property is could force long-term owners out of more affluent areas if they can’t carry new costs. The commission is set to issue final recommendations later this year and more hearings will be held in each borough.
