ICIP/ICAP Renewal Deadline For 2026–2027 Tax Year Extended

The New York City Department of Finance has announced that the ICIP/ICAP renewal period for the 2026–2027 tax year has been extended to March 1, 2026. For those properties required to renew their benefits, Certificates of Continuing Use (CCUs) under both programs must be filed through the Department of Finance’s online portal. If you were required to file a renewal and have not yet done so, this provides an opportunity to complete the filing and avoid any interruption or loss of benefits.

All properties receiving benefits under the Industrial and Commercial Incentive Program (ICIP) must submit a Certificate of Continuing Use (CCU) each year to renew eligibility.

Properties receiving benefits under the Industrial and Commercial Abatement Program (ICAP) need not file a CCU this year unless they were required to file a CCU during last year’s renewal period and failed to do so. Further non-compliance may result in the permanent loss of benefits.

As always, BBG is here to assist you with the ICIP/ICAP renewal process. We can confirm your CCU requirements and, if applicable, prepare and submit the renewal on your behalf. We are happy to help ensure your benefits remain in good standing.
