Sherwin Belkin, a Co-Founding Partner of BBG, was featured in a Crain’s New York Business article titled “Blackstone drops appeal in Stuy Town case in wake of Supreme Court rent-control ruling.”
Mr. Belkin, when asked for comments on the situation, critiqued the 2019 Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act, stating that the law “provides protection to higher-income tenants who do not need it, and in doing so, it discourages investment in much-needed housing supply, undermining the purpose of the law.”
