David Shamshovich to Speak at City & State Affordable Housing Summit
BBG partner and Tax Exemptions and Zoning Incentives practice Co‑Chair David Shamshovich will participate in The Affordable Housing Construction Pipeline panel at The Affordable Housing Summit, hosted by City & State, on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York.
The discussion will focus on how New York is accelerating affordable housing construction to meet urgent statewide needs. Panelists will address zoning, permitting, and financing challenges, while examining the Pro‑Housing Community Program, public‑private partnerships, and strategies to reduce development bottlenecks.
The conversation will also explore long‑term maintenance considerations and how local and state initiatives align with Governor Hochul’s and Mayor Mandani’s housing priorities.
