Deadline Approaching: 2025 DHCR Rent Registrations Due July 31, 2025

The deadline to file 2025 annual rent registrations with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) is July 31, 2025.

Owners of rent-stabilized properties are required to:

• Register all rent-stabilized units annually by July 31.
• Provide accurate apartment information as of April 1, 2025, including tenant names, rent, and lease term.
• Deliver a copy of the filed registration to each rent-stabilized tenant currently in occupancy.

Failure to file annual registrations will trigger a notice of delinquency from DHCR, and will subject owners to fines per unregistered unit, per month.
