Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an Executive Order on May 7th extending the eviction moratorium through August 2Oth, 2020. Two other key provisions that pertain to renters were also included in the Executive Order. While many property owners understand the hardships to renters in these challenging times, they continue to have expenses such as Real estate taxes, water, sewer, mortgage payments, building maintenance, staff, etc.. This raises many legal questions about what kind of future relief will be made available.
