BBG has a thriving condominium conversion practice. Condo conversion (new construction) offering plans must be developed according to strict rules established by the Attorney General’s office. The AG’s office must then review and approve the condo conversion plan, after weeks of back-and-forth negotiations. Building owners need to be aware that New York State laws are in place to protect tenants, as much as or more so than any other state.
